A Fresh Start

Lately, some of my friends have been reviving their blogs, and I think I'm going to try to do the same.  I miss having a place to write about my crafty projects, and participating in social media is great for keeping me connected to my amazing friends, but lacks the journal-like quality of blogging.

So, without further ado....

It's finally spring in NYC!  It's creeping in very slowly, though, so last month, a bunch of knitterly friends and I met up in Asheville, NC for a weekend of eating, shopping, cowl-swapping, knitting, and IRL companionship.  It was relaxing and perfect and so great to see all of these ladies who came from near and far.

Leo's doing great.  He's going to be four this summer, I can't believe it.  He's such a big boy now and still my sweet sunshine.

And I'm doing some knitting.  I've been working on Purl Bee's Hudson's Bay Inspired Crib Blanket (which I just need to weave in ends on, photos to come) and I just started Shibui's Multigrain Scarf by Antonia Shankland--which got to take a little trip outside to the park last weekend.

This is just the first part of the scarf, which comes as a gorgeous Shibui kit mixing 3 different, luxurious yarns: Pebble (above), Cima, and Silk Cloud.  LOVING knitting this.  I recently finished Antonia Shankland's Honey Cowl, and I really love the simple beauty of her patterns.

I'm hoping for a sunshiny summer with a lot of time spent outside.  Leo and I are 100% tired of being trapped in our freezing apartment all winter--we are ready for summer!
